The Same Sky by Amanda Eyre Ward

The Same Sky by Amanda Eyre Ward

This was an excellent book, I normally don't like books that tell the story of more than one person at a time, but this one was very easy to follow. It is about a young girl, Carla, who is living in Honduras with her grandmother and her two brothers. - And then about a married couple, Alice and Jake who live in America. After Carla's 's grandmother passes away, Carla is trying to get to America to be with her mother. Alice and Jake are owners of a b-b-q and are trying to adopt a baby. This book goes thru the trials of both people and are very realistic and you become to feel for the characters. I would recommend this book to all ranges of readers from teenagers to older adults. I received a free review copy in exchange for my true and honest review from the publisher.

Springtime Blossoms (Seasons of Cherryvale #6) by Beverly Nault

Springtime Blossoms (Seasons of Cherryvale #6) by Beverly Nault

Very captivating storyline,

This book was very good. From the moment I started reading, I felt like I was standing, sitting or living right with the characters. The ending was no where close to what I thought would happen, but really makes me think how the ending of life may be. Grace is married to a doctor who really takes care of his patients, whether in the hospital or not. Grace meets one of the patients, Fancy, and starts to think there is more to the relationship besides doctor/patient. Grace likes to help the people of the community and accidentally double books two events and Fancy communicates that they could be combined. Many things happen that Grace and Fancy don't see eye-to-eye, but in the end, do they become friends or continue to be foes? This is a very clean, good Christian fiction book that I would really recommend. I have received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

My Candy Valentine By Darlene Franklin

My Candy Valentine

This was a very good short story. It starts out in the Jensen Mercantile, which is co-owned by Catrina Jensen and her father. Catrina runs the store and sets up displays to attract the customers. Gilbert Williams is sent by his boss, Mr. Matchbanks, secretly to find out information about the store, but he is surprised by how Catrina treats her customers and goes above and beyond to take care of the customer. Catrina also spends a few days cooking cakes, cookies and pies to sell in the mercantile, which attracts Gilbert even more. Catrina and her father are both very devoted Christians and I was very impressed how they welcome anyone and everyone when obstacles happen no matter their past in counters with them. Will Gilbert's assignment for his boss become an obstacle or a blessing for the Jensen's? This is a very easy, attention grabbing Christian book. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys short stories, good, clean Christian fiction or fast-passé books. I have never read any books by this author, but I will be looking for more of her books to read. I have received a free copy of this book in exchange for my true and honest review.
